Compact and lightweight, the 5083 CD changer adds the flexibility of multiple disc access

to any ECLIPSE system. Using the E-LAN Advanced Data Link System, up to two 5083 CD

changers can be connected to an ECLIPSE head unit, providing you with up to 16 discs

that you can access from the head unit or ECLIPSE remote control. The internal changer

mechanism is specially damped and protected from impact, delivering error-free playback

even in rough road conditions.

Security Network (ESN) and your Key CD

(when added to a non-CD head unit).

• The integrated optics pickup ensures

continuous audio without skipping.

• An 8-times oversampling digital filter and

1-bit digital-to-analog converter give you

maximum sonic quality from your CDs.

• A digital servo system reads CD surface

variations and adjusts for accurate tracking.

• Escalator mechanism for low-noise and

high-speed disc changing

The escalator-type mechanism enables

operation that is smoother and provides

higher-speed accessibility, with transfer from

disc 1 to disc 8 taking only 8 seconds.

• High-precision/rigidity plastic traverse

chassis

The pick-up mechanism is housed in a plastic

traverse chassis that provides a high degree

of precision and rigidity. This sophisticated

design ensures operational reliability.

• Precise trackability

The ECLIPSE CD changers feature a laser

pickup with a highly precise lens that makes

possible an optimally exact tracking system for

reading the “data” from the compact disc, thus

ensuring the highest possible tracking accuracy

for the best possible audio response.

drawer-type CD magazine. Once loaded, the

surface of the discs never comes into contact

with the transport mechanism. This design

prevents disc scarring and off-center

placement while also speeding up disc access

time.
