View Level 7 / Maximum Tracking - Variable Where Used for *ALL/CUSNO
The highest VWU view level is Level 7 also referred to as Maximum Tracking. This level displays
Variable Where Used for all the above levels as well as any other possible references for
‘*ALL/CUSNO’. Note that the number of lines did not increase from Level 6 to Level 7, this means that
‘*ALL/CUSNO’ has no further references across the Cross-Reference library
The ‘Variable Where Used’ information can be specified over large variety of items including:
Files, Array Definitions, Data Structures, Sub-Fields Data Structures , Indicators, Key Lists, Data
Fields, File Formats, Subroutines, Program Variable, Array Elements, Parameter Lists, Parameters,
Key Fields, Message Ids, EXCPT Names, etc.
X-Ref. Information for a MSGID
Let us see an example of variable references over a message id. Select the object ‘CNTCMAINT’
from the object list. Then opt for its source member by double click on the object ‘CNTCMAINT’. This
invokes the source browser for ‘CNTCMAINT’. Locate the line displaying message id ‘OEM0020’, as
shown below:
